ABOUT DELTA LTD
Delta Ltd are based in the small Welsh coastal village of Nefyn where they were formed in 2017 as a small energy company focusing on rural communities. The focus for the business was to provide these communities with the opportunity to create their own community owned renewable power generation company and in parallel provide services to insulate homes to reduce energy consumption. Lastly this off grid solution which would still be connected to the national grid would give these rural communities resilience of supply especially during the winter months when power outages are common.
FUNDING REQUIRED FOR
Delta Ltd required the monies to update their website and develop community energy agreements via solicitors to allow them to market these services to rural communities in Wales, Devon and Cornwall.
The monies were also used as investment and working capital to buy in bulk solar panels, air source heat pumps to replace oil fired boilers and radiators etc.
Delta Ltd also used the funds to agree a UK franchise with a Swedish supplier of pico / micro hydropower generators resulting in them being able to harness water, solar and wind energy to create off grid rural community generation at the same time as providing home insulation via loft and cavity wall insulation and energy efficient window replacement.
P2NZ CLOSING STATEMENT
Delta Ltd were one of our earliest investments via the P2NZ App with the live campaign being over subscribed by investors with over 75% of funding via Welsh investors.
The management team at Delta Ltd made our corporate management and mentoring team very welcome and we managed to change quickly from in person meetings to video calls via Zoom and MS Teams during Covid.
Delta decided to extend our mentoring service by 12 months so we could support them with their series A funding which was closed in November 2022 with a raise of £7.5M achieved. We are all immensely proud of what Delta Ltd have achieved over the four years we were involved with their business and would like to take this opportunity to wish them and ABC Capital Investments good luck for the future.
